Remembrance 2014
Our services were a little more special this year.
In the evening, the newly formed choir that practices in Bethany performed their first pieces
The sunday school children placed crosses here in the morning and the "boys from the farm" placed crosses here in the evening service.
Celil brought his mac from his tour of Burma to add to our display

Surprise Medal For Bethany Sunday School
A present for the Sunday School of today from the Sunday School of the past
The medal reads "Presented to Geraldus Mitchell by Bethany Baptist Sunday School, Six Bells, for Seven Years Regular Attendance 1923- 1929"
It was lovely when Geoff, his son, got in touch and was able to hand the medal back to a current member of Bethany Sunday School 85 years after it left! One of Geraldus' children became a missionary and all three of his children benefited from what he learnt in Sunday School. He sent them to Bethany Sunday School too. Geoff fondly remembered his baptism in the baptism pool under the pulpit!
Many things have changed over the years, but we still have a Sunday School teaching children about God every week. If you know any children in Six Bells or anywhere else for that matter, encourage them to go their local Sunday School.
